Hey there folks!
Here’s a goofy little comic I did last week for the Chicago IRL zine set to come out later this summer. They are in the middle of fundraiser so if you’re feeling generous/want to own something with a comic of mine in it, consider donating.
I’ve been having a couple genuinely spectacular months in a row and now that the sunshine has arrived here in the Windy City I’ve been thinking about how I usually feel wretched during the warmer months. This time last year I let a couple lame-o events ruin my lovely BBQ-filled months which I refuse to let happen two years in a row. The problems that normally bog me down, like dating in the ever daunting “BIG CITY” don’t seem to phase me in the same way they did a year ago. I just crank up Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend’ on full blast and ignore the sweat puddle slowly cooling beneath my backpack.
Also, thanks SO much to everyone who came out for CAKE last weekend. It was a wonderful whirlwind of a weekend filled with friends and fans and I couldn’t have asked for a better time! THANKSTHANKSTHANKS!! Hey there folks!

Back around the beginning of the month, I drew this little two pager which appeared in a book distributed to 7 comic shops around Chicago for Free Comic Book day which I was out of town for because of TCAF.

The indomitable pair of Neil Brideau and Sam Sharpe organized and printed the book “HANDOUT COMICS Number 2” even after I gave them this whack comic about a salamander who thinks he’s a cowboy and rides a garter snake.

Please zoom in because this is going to look so funky on the Tumblr feed. THANKS <3

I drew my fifth NewCity cover this week! Pick a copy up Chicagoans!

The turn around on this one was really tight, got the job Sunday morning and the final was due Tuesday morning. Record stores really stress me out and I inevitably feel like a plebeian shopping in one, especially because I only ever buy records for my little brother.

"No, honest, this Lady Gaga "Born This Way" Vinyl isn’t for me!"

The art studio I work and teach at, Easel Art Studio, was on the news this morning! It was exciting, even if I had to wake up at 5 am to be part of it. I’ve grown to become really attached to Easel and now that I’m leaving, I know its going to be tough to say goodbye (for now).

So if you have kids in the Chicago land area that could use some arts in their life, please pass the information on!
